How much gas do I have left?

When you lift the lid of your tank you will see a round gauge about 2” in diameter. The needle will point to the amount (percent, not gallons) you have left.

Propane Safety

If you smell gas, you should immediately put out all smoking materials and any open flames. In addition, do not use any cell phones, appliances or lights as sparks or flames from these sources may trigger a fire or explosion.

If you smell propane that you suspect may be leaking, you need to immediately leave the area and evacuate the area or building where you suspect that gas might be leaking. Once you leave the area, you should locate and shut off the main gas supply valve on your propane tank, once it is safe to do so.

When you have exited the area and are a safe distance from the source of the smell, you should report the leak from a neighbor's home or other location by calling Clarendon Gas immediately.

  • If you can't reach your propane retailer, call 911 or your local the fire department immediately.
  • DO NOT return to the building until your propane retailer or the fire department has determined that it is ok to do so.
  • ALWAYS have a trained and qualified service technician from your local propane retailer perform a complete system check and any of your propane appliances to make sure the remain free of leaks before you attempt to use any of them.
